New Orleans Saints Set to Take on the Competition with Draft Pick Signings

The New Orleans Saints have recently announced the signing of five more draft picks, bringing their total to 14. Among them are fifth-round quarterback Spencer Rattler, fifth-round receiver Bub Means, fifth-round linebacker Jaylan Ford, sixth-round defensive tackle Khristian Boyd, and seventh-round offensive tackle Josiah Ezirim. First-round offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga also signed earlier in the day.

Rattler was the 150th overall pick and has played three seasons at Oklahoma and two seasons at South Carolina. Throughout his career, he has completed 68.5 percent of his passes for 10,807 yards with 77 touchdowns and 32 interceptions while also rushing for 16 scores. Rattler will now be joining a quarterbacks room that includes Derek Carr and Jake Haener.

The signing of these draft picks marks another step forward for the Saints as they continue to solidify their roster for the upcoming season. With both new and returning players on board, the team is gearing up for a successful campaign ahead. Having locked in key positions such as quarterback, receiver, linebacker, defensive tackle, and offensive tackle, the Saints are making strides towards building a competitive and well-rounded team. With their draft picks now under contract, the team can focus on preparing for the challenges that lie ahead in the upcoming season.

In other news related to this topic,

With only one unsigned draft pick remaining (second-round cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry), the Saints have completed their roster preparations for the upcoming season.

Rattler’s addition to the quarterbacks room gives Drew Brees some much needed competition heading into next season.

The Saints have been busy adding talent to their roster through trades and free agency as well as this latest batch of draft picks.

With a strong core group of players returning from last year’s playoff run along with these new additions, it looks like New Orleans is set up for success next season.
