Confirmed: BBC’s Race Across the World will return with new route and date

A new season of the popular Race Across the World is set to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesday 10 April. The BAFTA-winning series will follow five duos as they embark on a challenging race across Eastern Asia, covering a distance of 15,000 kilometers through several countries.

The teams participating in this season include two mother and daughter duos, best friends, a married couple, and a brother and sister. Stripped of their smartphones, internet access, and bank cards, the competitors will be pushed to their limits both physically and emotionally. The journey will be tough, but the rewards and memories will be unforgettable. Only one team will emerge victorious and claim the coveted cash prize of £20,000.

Race Across the World is an 8-episode series produced by Studio Lambert for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Commissioned by Catherine Catton and overseen by BBC Commissioning Editor Michael Jochnowitz, the show is executive produced by Tim Harcourt, Lucy Shepherd, and Stephen Day. Maria Kennedy serves as the line producer, with Kezia Walker as the production executive, Charlotte Woolley as the series editor, and Charlotte Jacobs as the series producer for Studio Lambert.
