Jørgen Strand Larsen, the 24-year-old Norwegian international, has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a temporary loan from Celta Vigo. The deal could become permanent if certain clauses are met, and Larsen will be under contract until 2029 for a fee of £25 million.
Larsen impressed many clubs in LaLiga last season, leading the scoring charts for Celta Vigo with 13 goals. He has now signed with Wolves as their number one target for the striker position. Sporting director Matt Hobbs expressed his excitement about signing Larsen, highlighting the importance of bringing in a quality number nine this summer.
Wolves have already made three other signings this transfer window, including Tommy Doyle, Pedro Lima, and Rodrigo Gomes. Gary O’Neil, the club’s manager, will look to integrate Larsen into the squad quickly to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season. With his goal-scoring ability and international experience, Larsen is expected to make a significant impact at Molineux during his time at the club.
