Newtown Youth & Family Services and NewSylum Brewing Company Collaborate for Mental Health Awareness Month: A Unique Partnership to Support Local Mental Health Services

Newtown Youth & Family Services (NYFS) and NewSylum Brewing Company have once again teamed up to raise awareness and funds for mental health during Mental Health Awareness Month. Throughout the month, customers can visit NewSylum Brewing at 36 Keating Farms Avenue and order Therapy Session, a popular hazy New England-style pale ale. All proceeds from the sale of this beer will go directly to NYFS, a local agency that provides mental health and youth services to the greater Newtown area.

The collaboration was initiated by NewSylum Founding Partners Dave Kingsley and Mark Tambascio in 2022, with the goal of supporting mental health initiatives in the community. NYFS Executive Director Candice Bohr emphasized the importance of partnerships with local businesses like NewSylum, stating that they help raise awareness about the agency’s mission to support youth and families thrive.
