High school students with entrepreneurial spirit will compete for cash prizes with their innovative business ideas

High school students from Park City Schools Center for Advanced Professional Studies recently participated in the annual Invest Nest Competition. This year, the competition is open to all high school students in Utah and offers an opportunity to secure investments for their business ideas. Students have the chance to win up to $30,000.

The third round selection phase of the competition will take place on April 23rd at Park City High School, where the top 10 student competitors will present their business ideas to investors, honorary judges, and the public. Votes will be cast by the judges, investors, donors, and the public to determine which businesses have the best potential for success.

The first-place winner of the Park City competition will advance to the state competition in Provo on April 29th. In addition to monetary prizes, students are required to use half of their prize money for educational expenses such as tuition, books or supplies for college or secondary education.

This year’s honorary judges include professionals from various industries such as venture capital, construction and financial advisory services. These judges bring a wealth of experience and expertise to evaluate student presentations and determine winners of this competition.
