Penn State Receives a Record Payout in EA Sports’ Revived College Football Game

Penn State ranked in top tier of schools with highest earnings in EA Sports College Football 25

Penn State fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of EA Sports’ revived college football video game, College Football 25. This summer, their wait will finally come to an end as the game hits shelves. The highly anticipated title will feature payments to each school included in the game, with Penn State being eligible for one of the highest payouts.

EA Sports has determined the payout system for schools based on a tier system, with tiers being determined by each school’s finish in the final AP Poll over the last decade. Penn State has earned a spot in the top tier, which means they will receive a reported payout of $99,875.16. Along with Penn State, there are five other Big Ten schools in the top tier including Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa and incoming Big Ten member Oregon.

Schools in each tier were awarded points based on their AP top 25 finishes over the past ten years, with Penn State earning six top 25 finishes. The payout system for schools was determined based on a four-tiered system.

EA Sports recently released the first official gameplay trailer for College Football 25 along with screenshots of the game.
