Portland Sea Dogs Secure Fifth Straight Win Over New Hampshire Fisher Cats with Inside-the-Park Home Runs and Impressive Pitching Performance

Sea Dogs extend winning streak to five with victory over Fisher Cats

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats were unable to stop the Portland Sea Dogs from securing their fifth consecutive win, as they fell 7-3 in Manchester, New Hampshire. In the sixth inning, Roman Anthony and Nick Decker both hit inside-the-park home runs to give Portland a commanding 4-0 lead. Although New Hampshire scored once in the sixth and twice in the seventh to narrow the gap, the Sea Dogs pulled away with three runs in the ninth inning. Elih Marrero came through with a two-run single and Decker drove in a pair of runs to secure the victory.

On the mound, Wikelman Gonzalez delivered a strong performance for Portland, allowing just one hit while striking out three in three scoreless innings. Christopher Troye earned the win by allowing one run on three hits, striking out five, and walking two in three innings. Felix Cepeda closed out the game with 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his 12th save for Portland.
