In 2024, Skytrax released its list of the top airlines in the world. Qatar Airways took the number one spot, knocking Singapore Airlines off its throne as the winner from the previous year. The rankings were determined through surveys conducted by travelers from over 100 countries, covering more than 350 airlines.
The awards ceremony for the World Airline Awards was held in London and saw airlines from Asia and the Middle East dominate the rankings. The top six spots went to carriers from these regions, while European carriers made up seven of the top 20 spots. Turkish Airlines was named as the highest-ranked European carrier, coming in seventh place.
Unfortunately, no US-based airlines made it into the top 20 rankings this year. Delta Air Lines fell to 21st place, with United being the only other US airline to make it into the top 50 rankings.
