In 2021, Liam Kelly left Motherwell and in 2018 he joined Rangers. Brazilian left-back Jefte, who is 21 years old, is on his way to complete medical tests and join Rangers after the club agreed to buy him from Fluminense while he was on loan to Apoel Nicosia. Jefte’s arrival may be followed by Liam Kelly’s return to Rangers, as the goalkeeper is currently out of contract at Motherwell.
Despite having agreed to a preliminary deal to join Rangers from Levski Sofia, 22-year-old centre-half Jose Cordoba is said to prefer a move to Norwich City instead. Oscar Cortes, a 20-year-old winger, is in discussions with his agents, current club Lens, and Rangers about his future after his loan was cut short due to injury. Cortes still holds onto his dream of one day playing for Real Madrid.
