Thursday’s MLS games were nothing short of dramatic, with three intense matches unfolding on the field. Firstly, LAFC made a strong statement by defeating local rivals LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl, solidifying their position atop the Western Conference. Despite a late fight-back by the Galaxy, LAFC emerged victorious in a thrilling 94th-minute win that will surely be remembered for years to come.

Meanwhile, the Portland Timbers’ unbeaten streak was brought to an end in a thrilling five-goal match against Dallas. After taking an early lead, the Timbers saw Dallas score three goals in the second half to secure the win. Additionally, Colorado secured a much-needed victory against Sporting Kansas City with a late Đorđe Mihailović penalty, bouncing back from an early second-half deficit.

Looking ahead, FC Dallas reclaimed third place with their dramatic win against the Timbers following a heavy defeat to LAFC in the previous week. The Rapids also reclaimed third place after their victory over LAFC and will face Inter Miami in their next match on Saturday.

The highlight of Saturday’s MLS action will be Inter Miami’s match against FC Cincinnati at top of Eastern Conference standings clash. With eight games scheduled for Saturday, it looks like there is no slowing down in MLS action as we move towards playoff season.
