Red Bull and EA Sports to Team up for 2024 F1 Season

The Red Bull Formula One team has announced a promotional partnership with EA Sports for the 2024 season. As part of the contract, Red Bull will be a key partner leading up to the release of the F1 24 video game. The team will also play a promotional role for other EA Sports titles, including EA Sports FC. Max Verstappen will once again be partnering with the developer for this collaboration.

Given Verstappen’s background in gaming, including his involvement with Team Redline, an esports outfit, it is a natural fit for EA Sports to expand its partnership with him. This agreement goes beyond the personal endorsement deal Verstappen had last year to include the wider Red Bull team. Verstappen will continue to sport EA branding on his helmets this season, with the addition of EA Sports F1-inspired helmet designs at select Grands Prix.

Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s chief executive and team principal, expressed excitement about the partnership with EA Sports. He noted that F1 is growing and attracting new, younger, and diverse audiences worldwide, many of whom engage with racing through gaming. The collaboration aims to enhance the F1 gaming experience and take it to the next level with F1 24.

Looking ahead, Formula One is set to make a return to China this weekend for the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit from April 19th to 21st.
