The next few days will be active in terms of weather, with hot and humid conditions leading to scattered showers and storms. Today, the heat index is already reaching the middle 90s due to strong southwest winds and tropical dew points. It’s important to stay hydrated in these conditions, as some of the storms that develop could be strong to severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain possible.

On Thursday, Independence Day celebrations will see more showers and storms, but temperatures will not be as hot as they were on Wednesday. The high is expected to reach 85 degrees, with a chance for thunderstorms in the evening. Fireworks may see some showers in the evening, but they are expected to clear out in time for the display. The sunset is at 9:08 pm, with temperatures in the middle 70s.

Friday brings another cold front bringing more rain and storms on a stronger side than Wednesday’s heat wave. However, by Saturday less humid air is expected to return by the weekend, resulting in dry conditions and seasonal temperatures in the middle 80s.
