Hollywood is mourning the loss of stunt performer Tony McFarr, who passed away at the age of 47. Known for his work as Chris Pratt’s stunt double in several major movies, McFarr’s death has left the film industry in shock.

McFarr had an extensive career in the film industry, beginning in the early 2010s. He first worked as Pratt’s stunt double in “Jurassic World” in 2015 and went on to perform stunts for the actor in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.” He also worked on “Passengers” in 2016, among other blockbuster films and Marvel movies.

Born Antonio Gerard McFarr on October 12, 1976, he initially appeared on TV as an actor in episodes of shows like “Burn Notice” before transitioning to stunt work. Throughout his career, he doubled for actors like Jon Hamm and Brendan Fraser in various films. His stunt credits include a wide range of movies and TV shows, from “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” to “The Walking Dead” and “The Gifted.”

McFarr’s dedication to his craft made him a sought-after stunt performer in Hollywood, and he will be remembered for his contributions to the industry. The Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida announced his passing with a statement that confirmed he died at home outside of Orlando but did not disclose the cause of death yet.
