Revolutionizing Animal Health: Elanco and Purdue Join Forces to Create a Cutting-Edge Research Facility

The creation of a new health facility through a partnership between Elanco and Purdue University

A new research facility dedicated to enhancing animal health has been established by Elanco Animal Health and Purdue University. The collaboration aims to address real-world problems through research, said Dave Kinard, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Elanco Animal Health. The facility will integrate academic knowledge with advanced health technologies to improve health outcomes for animals.

The partnership is expected to not only advance animal health research but also attract other businesses to the state. The new facility is scheduled to open its doors in late 2025, providing a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in the field of animal health.

Kinard emphasized that the primary goal of the facility is to accelerate innovation, including office space, wet lab space, and incubator space for researchers in the biosciences field. This holistic approach to health will be a cornerstone of the facility’s activities. The partnership with Purdue University will enable researchers from both institutions to collaborate on projects that can enhance the ability to prevent, predict, detect, and respond to health threats affecting people, animals, and plants.
