Revolutionizing Space Technology: Noblis Invests in Sedaro’s Digital Twin Platform

Noblis’ investment branch supports company specializing in digital twin technology

Noblis, a nonprofit science and technology firm, has made an investment in Sedaro, a cloud-based software startup that specializes in creating digital twins for simulation and design work. Sedaro, founded in 2019, has designed a software platform that offers users a singular architecture and environment for designing satellites and spacecraft.

Noblis Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Noblis, announced the investment on Tuesday. The terms of the investment were not disclosed. Sedaro’s co-founder and CEO, Robbie Robertson, expressed excitement about the partnership with Noblis and how it will help accelerate the application of Sedaro’s digital twin technology.

Space is a key focus area for Noblis Ventures. In June, Noblis Ventures made its first space-specific investment in Scout Space, which provides vision solutions for spacecraft to collect data and track objects. Noblis CEO Mile Corrigan highlighted Sedaro’s tools as crucial for enhancing technology readiness in complex physical designs and expanding mission impacts for customers.

In August, Sedaro secured a $1.5 million contract with Space Force to demonstrate the use of digital twins in spacecraft design, with a focus on in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing missions. The collaboration between Noblis and Sedaro is expected to bring innovative solutions to the digital engineering space and drive advancements in mission capabilities for government customers.
