Framestore Company 3 Group (FC3) has appointed Lincoln Wallen as its new group chief technology officer. Wallen, who holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and has a background in artificial intelligence, will be responsible for seeking and fostering new strategic partnerships across business, technology, and academia. He will also focus on strengthening existing partnerships with studios, institutions, and brands to maximize their properties.
Working closely with FC3 CEO Mel Sullivan and Company 3 Group CEO Stefan Sonnenfeld, Wallen aims to leverage technology and innovation to enhance the creative process, media business, and consumer experience within the company. The company is well-known for its expertise in color grading and has worked on high-profile projects such as “Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Wicked,” “Transformers: One,” and “Despicable Me.” In fact, the latter two films will have special presentations at the Annecy Animation Festival.
