Bristol Rovers have acquired Cyprus international Ruel Sotiriou from his former club, Leyton Orient. The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but Sotiriou was set to become a free agent at the end of July. Fortunately, both clubs reached an agreement to prevent the need for a Professional Football Compensation Committee hearing.
Sotiriou has officially signed a three-year contract with an option for an additional season at the Memorial Stadium. As Orient’s leading goal scorer last season with 12 goals across all competitions, Sotiriou’s talent is evident.
