Samsung is dedicated to improving its digital assistant Bixby with the help of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to provide new features that will revolutionize its role in the company’s ecosystem. This was announced at the recent launch of Galaxy S24, where Samsung showcased new functions such as Rodea search tool, Photo Assistant, Real-time translation, and Notes Assistant. Although these features have not yet been integrated with Bixby, it highlights Samsung’s ongoing plans for the assistant.
Executive Vice President of the device business, Won-joon Choi, confirmed in an interview with CNBC that Samsung aims to equip Bixby with generative AI to enhance its capabilities and enable more natural conversations. This development aligns with the company’s goal of creating an interface that seamlessly integrates with Samsung products within its ecosystem.
