Scripps Sports and Florida Panthers Team Up to Bring Local Ice Hockey Games to South Florida Viewers for Free

Florida Panthers ice hockey fans in South Florida are in for a treat as Scripps Sports and the Stanley Cup-champion team have joined forces to bring all locally produced games to viewers for free.

Starting this fall, West Palm Beach residents can catch all locally produced games on WHDT-TV, Channel 9, while Miami/Fort Lauderdale viewers can tune in to WSFL-TV, Channel 39. For Fort Myers, the broadcast channel will be announced before next season.

This partnership between Scripps Sports and the Florida Panthers is a major boost for hockey fans in the region, who will now have access to all locally produced games, including preseason, regular season, and round one games of the postseason. The new home on television for Florida Panthers hockey is sure to excite fans who have been following the team’s recent Stanley Cup Final appearances and 30 years of playing in South Florida.
