Sheffield Wednesday signs Kobacki while Iorfa agrees to new deal

Sheffield Wednesday has signed winger Olaf Kobacki from Arka Gdynia for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old, who scored 13 goals in 32 appearances for the Polish second tier side last season, is rumored to have signed a four-year deal with the Championship club. Meanwhile, defender Dominic Iorfa has also renewed his contract and will remain with the team.

Kobacki is the sixth new signing for Sheffield Wednesday this summer, joining goalkeeper Ben Hamer, defenders Yan Valery and Max Lowe, midfielder Svante Ingelsson, and forward Jamal Lowe. With these signings in place, the Owls are looking to improve on their 14th-place finish in the Championship last season.

Iorfa, who joined the Owls from Wolves in January 2019, has made 142 appearances for the team. The length of both players’ contracts has not been disclosed by the club. As they prepare to begin their new season at home against Plymouth on Sunday, August 11th.
