He argued that the decision to replace Babar Azam with Shaheen Afridi and then remove him so quickly was not right.
Akhtar also praised former cricketers for staying away from the constant criticism and politics within Pakistan cricket. He believed that it was a blessing in disguise for them to be away from the current situation. The legendary speedster’s comments came after Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup due to losses against the USA and India.
