Small Changes, Big Benefits: LSU AgCenter Offers Educational Series on Health and Nutrition

The LSU AgCenter is hosting an educational series aimed at improving health and nutrition through small changes to diet and physical activity. The program consists of four sessions that will cover various topics related to developing healthy habits.

Those interested in attending the program are encouraged to sign up for all four sessions to get the most benefit. The first series, called Small Changes, Healthy Habits, will take place at the East Feliciana Parish LSU AgCenter Office on July 2, 9, 23, and 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. The second series will be held at the West Feliciana Parish LSU AgCenter Office on the same dates but from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Each session in the series will focus on a specific topic related to health and nutrition, including understanding habits and physical activity, organizing and categorizing food in your pantry, learning how to read food labels while grocery shopping, and preparing healthy meals while using knives safely.

Seating for each series is limited to 20 people in each parish, with a minimum of five registrants required to hold the sessions. Participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot in the educational series.

By attending these sessions, participants can learn how small changes can make a big difference in their overall health and wellbeing.
