Smucker Co. in 1998 for around $1 million. Last year, the company reported nearly $700 million in sales from their PB&J discs, and with soaring demand, J.M. Smucker is likely to see a return on their investment soon.

The growing popularity of Uncrustables is fueled by both children and adults who appreciate the convenience of the circular sandwiches or simply enjoy satisfying their sweet cravings. Despite minimal advertising, the success of Uncrustables continues to grow, with Smucker’s CEO, Mark Smucker, mentioning last year that the company plans to meet the increasing demand by opening a new factory.

An announcement on Jefferson County, Alabama’s profile account hinted at the upcoming launch of a new factory dedicated to producing more of the popular sandwiches. The facility, costing over $1 billion, is set to open next month and is expected to create approximately 750 jobs solely for making Uncrustables. This expansion signals the company’s commitment to meet the rising demand for their crustless delicacies.
