South Mumbai was brought to a standstill as thousands of fans gathered at Marine Drive to celebrate the Indian cricket team’s victory in the T20 cricket championship. The streets were filled with people, creating massive traffic jams as they made their way to the parade route. From the afternoon, stations and roads were filled with the sound of patriotic slogans and cheers of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’, and ‘India India’.
The sea of fans, waving their Tricolours and wearing blue jerseys, braved the rain to catch a glimpse of the team that had won after more than ten years. Despite the chaos and congestion, the spirit of unity and pride united the city as they came together to honor the cricketers who had achieved greatness on the international stage. It was a moment of joy and celebration for everyone who had been following the team’s journey to victory.
