The sports-focused streaming service, Venu Sports, is set to launch this fall. It is a joint venture between Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Fox. The platform aims to provide sports fans with an all-new streaming home that offers a collection of live sports in one convenient location.
Pete Distad, CEO of the platform, stated that Venu Sports is designed to engage and entertain sports fans with one-stop access to live games. The platform will have a website at Venu.com that teases the future home of sports streaming where fans can expect the most sought-after live sports from top leagues and teams all in one place.
Venu Sports is being developed using the latest technologies to create an app specifically for sports fans to enhance their viewing experience. However, the streaming service is still pending regulatory approval and final agreements among the companies involved. According to the website, Fox is currently leading the launch efforts, and it’s expected to launch by fall 2024 pending regulatory approval. The site is owned and operated by a Fox Corporation subsidiary.
