Sprouts Farmers Market recently released their “2023 Impact Report” which highlighted the company’s achievements in various areas such as promoting team members, creating new jobs, and supporting healthy communities. The report showcased the company’s commitment to curating impactful products, ensuring a thriving planet, developing purposeful people, and supporting healthy communities.

One of the key highlights of the report was the focus on impactful products, with 19% of total sales coming from fruits and vegetables, $3.3 billion in sales of products with social or environmental attributes, and a 30% organic sales penetration in Sprouts brand products. Additionally, the company reported $225 million in local produce sales from a network of 170 farmers.

In terms of ensuring a thriving planet, Sprouts Farmers Market set a goal of a 25% reduction in per-square-foot carbon emissions intensity by 2033. The company also avoided 130 million single-use bags, achieved a 70% landfill diversion rate, and recovered 70 million pounds of food through donation, animal feed, and composting initiatives.
