River Bend Nature Center to host Sip N’ Science event in honor of tornado anniversary

The Sip N’ Science event at the River Bend Nature Center is taking place to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Terrible Tuesday Tornado in Wichita Falls, Texas. On Friday, April 12 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, attendees will be able to enjoy beverages and delicious hor d’oeuvres while learning about Wichita Falls’ extreme weather history, a timeline of the disaster, truths versus legends of the event, tornado trivia, and safety methods.

The event will be led by retired News Channel 6 morning meteorologist, John Cameron, who will provide valuable insights on staying safe during severe weather. He will also showcase images of the Terrible Tuesday tornado and its aftermath and share general tornado trivia. This is an excellent opportunity for attendees to delve into the history of the tornado and gain insights on how to stay safe in similar situations.
