Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports, a local organization in Minot, ND, is currently hosting a three-month drive to support their programs. This summer, the focus of the drive is on collecting items used for occupational therapy, with a list available on Aspire Credit Union’s website outlining the specific items needed.
Rianne Kuhn, the marketing and communications coordinator at Aspire, emphasized the importance of batteries as a key need for Prairie Grit. Many therapy equipment pieces require batteries, and the organization goes through a significant amount of AA and AAA batteries. In August, the drive will shift gears to collecting items for speech therapy, but food items are still being accepted for donation.
Both Aspire and Prairie Grit are accepting monetary donations to support their programs. This collaborative effort aims to provide essential resources for children with disabilities to receive the therapeutic support they need. Copyright 2024 KFYR. All rights reserved.
