On Monday, Miss Sweet Potato Pie World held its grand opening at the Marketplace Mall. The venue, which is located near the mall’s east entrance, is a children’s entertainment and education center that will host various events such as birthday parties, graduation celebrations and more.
Miss Sweet Potato Pie World was developed by Dianne Snowden-Johnson, a teacher at the Rochester City School District who has been entertaining as Miss Sweet Potato Pie for over twenty years. The establishment will operate from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The grand opening event included appearances by Miss Sweet Potato Pie, DJ music, food, and party favors. Children were able to enjoy various activities such as face painting and balloon animals while their parents were able to relax and socialize in the comfortable atmosphere of the venue.
