The Looming Armed Conflict in Europe: Experts Warn of Imminent Military Threats and Call for Increased Preparedness

High Probability of Military Confrontation in Europe

In a security policy conference in Milan, Italian Minister of Defense advisor, Andrea Margelletti, believes that Russia will not take over Ukraine if European countries do not send troops. Margelletti, a researcher of international politics, professor and advisor to the Italian Minister of Defense, predicts that Europe is heading towards an inevitable armed conflict within a few years and warns that a military confrontation in Europe is very likely.

Margelletti suggests that European countries mainly from France, Germany, Poland, and the Baltic countries should send troops to Ukraine to prevent Russia from taking over the entire country. President Emmanuel Macron of France has also suggested sending troops, which has caused controversy.

Margelletti emphasizes the need for additional military equipment in the EU to prepare for potential conflicts. He anticipates that after the US presidential elections, the United States may withdraw from its alliance with European countries, leaving Europe to handle the Russia problem on its own.

Former Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force General Leonardo Tricarico also believes in assessing Russia’s real military capabilities and implementing adequate measures to address potential threats. Outside experts like Ian Bremmer predict potential conflicts in the Black Sea region with Russia and warn that Russia may start sinking ships in the area potentially leading to tense conflicts between NATO and Russia.

Overall, there is growing consensus among experts about the need for Europe to increase its readiness and take concrete steps to address potential military threats. The assessment of Russia’s intentions and capabilities along with preparations for potential conflicts are becoming increasingly important in today’s geopolitical landscape.
