Croix Bethune was named the player of the night after scoring a 96th-minute equalizer for Washington Spirit in front of a record crowd of 19,897 fans. Ella Stevens sealed all three points for Gotham with a crisp one-time finish, becoming the first player this season to score in three straight regular-season road games.

Looking at the current standings, Orlando Pride is currently in second place followed by Washington Spirit, who are just one point behind in third. Gotham FC is in fourth place, trailing by three points but with a game in hand. North Carolina Courage, Racing Louisville, and San Diego Wave occupy the seventh, eighth, and ninth spots respectively, with Houston Dash sitting just above Angel City FC in tenth place.

Next on the schedule is an eagerly anticipated derby on Sunday as Seattle Reign (13th) host their rivals Portland Thorns (fifth). Later that day, Bay FC (12th) will welcome Utah Royals to town for another thrilling match.
