Unemployment Benefits On Hold: French Government Suspends Reform Amid Political Uncertainty

Following the recent vote that placed the extreme right in a strong position, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced on Sunday evening that the unemployment insurance reform would be temporarily suspended. This decision was made in order to prevent a legal vacuum and ensure that benefits continue to be paid to those in need.
