The Virtual Lunar Surface Science Workshop 24 is set to take place on August 20, 2024. The goal of the workshop is to bring together scientists and technical professionals from various disciplines such as physical sciences, space biology, human biomedical sciences, fundamental physics, astrobiology, astrophysics, and heliophysics.

Researchers at all levels are invited to participate in this virtual workshop. Key stakeholders will deliver presentations, there will be posters, and breakout discussions to gather community input. The aim of the workshop is to enhance NASA’s understanding of the research community’s perspective on scientific drivers and capabilities required for lunar surface habitat research facilities that facilitate scientific and commercial activities.

Abstract submissions are welcome until June 21, 2024. Submitted abstracts should address topics such as Physical Sciences, Space Biology, Human Biomedical Sciences, Fundamental Physics, Astrobiology, Astrophysics, and Heliophysics. Registration for the workshop is required. While no registration fees are being collected for the LSSW sessions, individuals must register to attend.
