Vietjet has recently announced the launch of direct flights from Xi’an, China to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The flight will have four round trips per week starting from April 29. This new route is part of Vietjet’s efforts to expand its flight connections within Asia.
The announcement was made during the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to China, in the context of a forum on promoting investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China on April 10. Xi’an, located in Shaanxi province, is known for its cultural heritage and historical significance as the starting point of the Silk Road. It attracts a large amount of foreign direct investment and is a key city in Western China.
Ho Chi Minh City, on the other hand, is a vibrant economic, cultural, and tourist hub in Vietnam with a population of nearly 10 million people. It offers easy connections to both domestic and international destinations. The new flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Xi’an not only connects the two cities but also provides convenient connections to other Asian destinations in Vietjet’s network, such as Australia, India, Korea, and Mongolia.
