Warriors Eyeing Trades for Top Star Players: Potential Swap with Markkanen, LaVine, and Ingram

Warriors explore potential trade with Jazz for Lauri Markkanen – NBC Sports Bay Area & California

The Warriors missed out on Paul George, and now they’re exploring trades for other star players. One potential trade being considered is with the Utah Jazz for forward Lauri Markkanen. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on his “Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective” podcast, the Warriors are still investigating Markkanen’s availability on the trade market.

The San Antonio Spurs are also interested in a potential trade for Markkanen, and teams in negotiations with Utah believe the Jazz may be willing to trade him. Last season, Markkanen had an impressive performance with the Jazz, averaging 23.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting nearly 40 percent from 3-point range. He has been seen as a great second scoring option alongside Steph Curry for the Warriors.

In addition to Markkanen, the Warriors are reportedly considering trades for Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls and Brandon Ingram of the New Orleans Pelicans. It’s uncertain who Golden State will ultimately land in a trade, but Markkanen could potentially be the best fit for them due to his impressive season last year with Utah and his ability to complement Curry’s play as a second scoring option.

Discussions continue as Dubs Talk Podcast provides updates and insights on the Warriors’ trade pursuits.
