Chamber of Commerce Reveals 2024 Small Business Award Recipients

In West Monroe, Louisiana, six local business owners were recently recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community through the 2024 Small Business Award from the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce. The winners were selected from a pool of over 50 businesses that were nominated in categories such as Emerging Entrepreneur, Small Business, Female Champion, Community Champion, and the Silver Plus Award.

The recipients of the awards include Chris Lewis from Coney Island Connection West Monroe for Emerging Entrepreneur, Dr. Keri Cataldo-Rogers for Small Business, Sharon Pleasant for Female Champion, Karen Laban from Spice and Tea Exchange West Monroe for Community Champion, and Mulhearn Funeral Home and Flower Shop for the Silver Plus Award. These winners were honored by Kristopher Kelley, the executive director of the WMWO Chamber, who expressed pride in the outstanding group of nominations and emphasized the importance of recognizing their long-term achievement, community investment, and entrepreneurship.

Kelley highlighted the nominees as role models for the community and emphasized the strength of the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber due to their contributions.
