York’s Future Sports Complex Takes Shape as Demolition Begins on Old Central High School Grounds

Central York’s old bleachers torn down to make way for new sports complex

Inch & Co. recently gave a tour of a future sports complex in York that is set to be built on the grounds of the old Central York High School athletic fields. The proposed 250,000 square-foot facility will cover 13 acres of land.

The demolition of the stadium at the former Central York High School in North York has already begun, as Inch & Co. broke ground for the new sports facility. Crews were seen demolishing the bleachers at the athletic field on Monday, April 1st.

Jeff and John Inch, owners of Inch & Co., have big plans for the site, aiming to create an extensive sports training and performance complex. The facility is being touted as one of the largest indoor recreation facilities in the region, similar in size to the Spooky Nook facility in Lancaster County.

To help fund the demolition of the site, the company secured a $150,000 grant through the York County Land Bank Authority. The Inch brothers have been making waves in York County with their rapid rise, and this new project is sure to be a significant addition to the community.
