UMBC Seeks Visiting Professor of Psychological Science

The Department of Africana Studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is currently seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychological Science with a focus on African-centered or Black Psychology. This position will be available starting in August 2024 and is open to candidates who have a PhD in Psychological Science and experience integrating African-centered or Black Psychology into their teaching, research, and service.

Applicants with research interests in areas such as culture, mental health disparities education, positive youth development, family science, racial identity, racial stress and trauma, diversity science, and intergroup relations are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach 5 courses during the academic year and may also have the opportunity to teach cross-listed courses with the Psychology Department and School of Social Work.
