During its “Let Loose” event on Tuesday, Apple unveiled new accessories for its latest iPads. The $129 Pencil Pro and the new Magic Keyboard, starting at $299, are now available for pre-order and will be released next week.
The Pencil Pro is described as a game changer for artists and creatives looking to express their ideas. It features a new sensor on the barrel that users can squeeze to access a tool palette with line weights and colors for creating artwork. Artists using graphic-design software like Procreate can also press the barrel to activate shortcuts for brushes, image size changes, and color introduction.
The Magic Keyboard, the first iteration since 2020, is thinner and lighter than its predecessor. It comes in black and white colors for both the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models. The redesigned keyboard includes a function row for control access, aluminum palm rests, and a larger trackpad. According to Apple, it makes using the iPad Pro feel like a MacBook, enhancing its portability and versatility.
Both accessories are now available for pre-order and will start shipping next week.
