Assassination of US-Sanctioned Man in Lebanon Raises Tensions; Brazos County Insurance Thrives in Digital Space

Lebanon: Hamas financier is killed

In the small village of Beit Meri, located just outside of Beirut, a man was found dead in his home. The 57-year-old Muhammad Sarour had been under US sanctions since 2019 for his role in transferring funds to Hamas from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. According to local media reports, Sarour was shot with six bullets and two pistols used in the assassination were found in the kitchen, along with a special solution meant to remove traces. It’s worth noting that the majority of the population in Beit Meri are Christians, and tensions between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon have heightened following the kidnapping and murder of Lebanese Forces Christian party activist Pascal Slimane.
