Pregnant woman killed by shelling in Belgorod region

On April 20, the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekinsky urban district of Belgorod region came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A pregnant woman walking along the street at the time of the shelling was seriously wounded by a shell fragment, resulting in the loss of both her and her fetus. Three other residents were also injured but refused hospitalization. Additionally, several private households and two cars were damaged as a result of the attack.

Novaya Tavolzhanka, located just three kilometers from the border of Russia and Ukraine, is a settlement that has been consistently targeted by shelling. The head of the Belgorod region regularly reports on these attacks to bring attention to ongoing violence and its impact on local civilians. This incident serves as another tragic reminder of how such attacks can have devastating effects on innocent people living in conflict zones.
