Bananas, Citrus Fruits, Avocados, Apples and Watermelon: A Guide to Enhancing Men’s Fertility through Healthy Eating Habits

7 fruits that boost men’s physical well-being

Eating a variety of fruits can be beneficial for men’s fertility, as they contain vitamins, magnesium, lycopene, and antioxidants that can help increase sperm quantity and quality. Low sperm count and poor quality can have a negative impact on fertility in men. Dr. Doan Vinh Binh from the Medical Information Center at Tam Anh General Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City recommends a selective diet with these fruits to improve this condition.

Bananas are rich in vitamins B1, C, and magnesium, which can increase mobility and support sperm production. They also contain an enzyme called bromelain that promotes the increase of sperm quantity and mobility. Citrus fruits contain antioxidants that protect sperm from damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress. Vitamin C found in these fruits helps improve endurance, making conception easier.

Avocados provide vitamin E, which counteracts the effects of reactive oxygen species and improves sperm quality. Folate in avocados supports spermatogenesis and sperm cell development, necessary for DNA replication and improving sperm mobility, quantity, and quality. Apples are rich in fiber and antioxidants, particularly flavonoid compounds that can increase sperm count and protect sperm from oxidative damage.

Watermelon contains lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that protects sperm from oxidative damage and improves quantity, quality, and motility. Grapes contain resveratrol and quercetin, which protect against oxidative damage. They also have a high vitamin C content, improving sperm motility and reducing DNA damage. Mangoes contribute to improving sperm count and motility thanks to antioxidants like vitamins C
