Bold New Era: Texas Rangers Ink Energy Transfer as First Jersey Patch Sponsor in MLB

Energy Transfer signs on as jersey patch sponsor for the Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers have recently announced Energy Transfer as their first jersey patch sponsor in a new multiyear deal. The Dallas-based energy infrastructure company has been a supporter of the Rangers since 2018 and will now have their logo featured on a circular patch on the right sleeve of all six Rangers jerseys. This partnership will debut at the Rangers’ season opener against the Cubs at Globe Life Field.

As part of this agreement, Energy Transfer will also have an expanded marketing presence that includes ballpark signage and radio network inventory. This new jersey patch sponsorship is just one of many examples of how MLB teams are incorporating brand visibility into their uniforms. In fact, 19 teams are now featuring jersey patch deals heading into the upcoming season. These deals are required to have a minimum commitment of three years.

The circle patch will be in Rangers blue on the home jerseys and in white on the road jerseys, showcasing the continued integration of sponsorships in professional sports. Fans can expect to see more collaborations between sports teams and corporate partners in the future as companies look for ways to increase brand awareness and reach new audiences through sports partnerships.
