Breaking Barriers: China Celebrates 204 Outstanding Young Female Scientists at Award Ceremony

On April 28, 2024, Shen Yiqin, Chinese State Councilor and president of the All-China Women’s Federation, attended an award ceremony for young female scientists in Beijing. The ceremony honored 20 individuals and five teams with an award dedicated to young female scientists. Since its establishment in 2004, this award has recognized 204 outstanding women in the science field.

Shen encouraged female scientists to remain dedicated to science and strive for new heights in scientific research. She emphasized the importance of these talented young minds in China’s quest for greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology, the development of new quality productive forces, and the promotion of high-quality development.
