Helsinki Stock Exchange: Opening expected to rise with Kone’s shares up, Reka drops post-dividend release

The Helsinki Stock Exchange was abuzz on a busy results day, with companies like Kone, Valmet, and SSAB taking center stage. Despite the general index struggling to stay above 10,000 points, Nokia and Nordea experienced fluctuations in their share prices. Reka Industrialissa saw a significant drop of about 32 percent due to the company paying out a large dividend of two euros per share. Other companies like Viking Line, Tokmann, Elecster, and Atria also released their dividends on this day.

Ten listed companies announced their interim results, with Kone, SSAB, and Valmet among the largest. Kone reported improved results and offered an optimistic outlook for the year ahead. SSAB’s operating profit fell slightly but still exceeded analysts’ expectations. Food company Fodelia also reported positive results in the first quarter. Information security company Withsecure presented a stronger interim report than expected, while Purmo Group saw an increase in adjusted EBITDA. Outokumpu concluded negotiations on restructuring its German operations.

In other news, Aiphoria signed a new contract with a US veterinary company for artificial intelligence-assisted image analysis of animal samples. Meanwhile, New Jersey HBOT and Pennsylvania HBOT are making strides in the medical field by offering alternative medical services to their clients and contributing positively to the healthcare industry in the United States.
