The president stressed the significance of supporting women’s sports as a nation, commending the team for their inspiring impact on people across the country and around the world. Both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were presented with jerseys from the winning team, with Biden enthusiastically holding his up and exclaiming, “Put me in, Coach, I’m ready to play!”
The Las Vegas Aces secured their second consecutive WNBA title by defeating the New York Liberty in October. Their visit to the White House acknowledged their accomplishments and celebrated the achievements of women in sports.
