The Detroit High School Sports Awards, presented by Detroit Area Honda Dealers, are excited to reveal the nominees for the Boys and Girls Basketball Players of the Year. The winners will be announced during a live show on June 18 at The Fillmore Detroit, in partnership with the U.S. Army.
This program is part of a nine-month student-athlete recognition program that will culminate in a red-carpet show this spring. The Detroit High School Sports Awards will honor athletes, coaches, and teams from the greater Detroit region that participate in Michigan High School Athletic Association sports.
During the live show, nominees will be recognized, along with player of the year winners for 27 other sports. The event will also feature premier awards for student-athletes, coaches, and teams, including a Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.
All nominees who RSVP will receive complimentary tickets to the event thanks to sponsors. Nominated athletes can register for the show online while guests of nominated athletes can purchase tickets through a provided link.
