New Permanent Exhibit on ‘Advancing Health’ at Cincinnati Museum Center to Highlight Self-Care – NKyTribune

The Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) has been dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of health in the region. In July, the museum is set to open its newest permanent exhibit, Advancing Health presented by Mayfield Brain & Spine. This exhibit will focus on body systems, medical innovations, and health care professions, with the goal of inspiring a new generation to take care of themselves and others.

Elizabeth Pierce, president & CEO of CMC describes Advancing Health as an exhibit that allows visitors to zoom inside their own bodies to see how they function and how technology can help when systems fail. The exhibit is designed around nine major body systems, including the heart, blood, lungs, muscles, bones, digestion, immune system, nervous system, and mental health. Interactive elements, videos, historic innovations, and the latest research will provide an immersive experience for visitors.

By understanding how the body works and how to keep it healthy, visitors will be encouraged to listen to their own bodies, take better care of themselves
