Dolphins Draft Hits and Misses: Analysis of New Talent Acquired in 2021 NFL Draft

Miami Dolphins solidify offensive and defensive lines, and bolster playmakers in 2024 NFL Draft

The Miami Dolphins had a successful draft, acquiring potential impact players in the early rounds. One standout pick was Chop Robinson, an edge rusher with 10-sack potential from Penn State. In the second round, they selected Patrick Paul, an offensive tackle with raw talent and athleticism, who could become a future starter.

Two impressive wide receivers, Malik Washington and Tahj Washington, were also added to the roster. Both had successful college careers and could compete for playing time behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. However, their trade-up for Jaylen Wright in the fourth round raised some eyebrows due to concerns about his vision and ability to run between the tackles.

Despite these concerns, the Dolphins put together a solid group of players in the draft. They also added depth to the team with later-round picks such as Mohamed Kamara, a DL from Colorado State, and Patrick McMorris, a Safety from California. With careful consideration of each pick, the Dolphins have set themselves up well for the upcoming season.
