Eclipse-Themed Adventure Awaits at Louisville’s Kentucky Science Center: A Special Event for the Upcoming Solar Eclipse

Special solar eclipse event offered at the Kentucky Science Center

The Kentucky Science Center in Louisville is hosting a special event in honor of the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will feature a variety of free activities that are perfect for all ages to learn about the eclipse, its significance, and its impact on Earth.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore all 50,000 square feet of activities at the Kentucky Science Center, as well as participate in special programming that will be stationed throughout the galleries. Some of the activities include creating pinhole cameras, streaming coverage of the eclipse from NASA, and educational activities that teach about gravity, UV rays, and more.

In addition to these activities, guests can opt to watch documentary screenings of Journey to Space 3-D in the center’s four-story theater, which explores NASA’s Space Shuttle program, the International Space Station, and the Hubble Space Telescope. This is an excellent chance for visitors to learn about space exploration and its significance in our lives.

Mike Norman, CEO of Kentucky Science Center expressed his excitement about this event and how it would allow visitors to engage with science education and space exploration programs in a fun way. This special event is made possible in part by NASA Kentucky Space Grant. The Kentucky Science Center is located at 727 W Main Street and open seven days a week from 9:30 am to 5 pm.
